A Recipe & A Craft

Happy Friday y'all!  I originally created this blog to share recipes and crafts and to document my life as a newlywed.  So today I'm foregoing all link-ups to bring you a recipe and a craft.
Earlier this week Connor and I made dinner {enchiladas} for our friends who just had a baby and they asked for the recipe.  It's one of our favorites and we make it almost every week, so I thought I'd share with the rest of the word.
Monday I posted about this beautiful tulip wreath and how I wanted to re-create it.  Mine isn't nearly as beautiful {especially since I didn't use real tulips} but I like it, and it's getting me excited for spring.

Bubble-Up Enchiladas
Pinned Image
{via}
     Ingredients
1-2 lbs ground beef
2 cans enchilada sauce {10 oz}
1 can tomato sauce {8 oz}
1 can refrigerator biscuits {16 oz}
1.5 cups shredded Mexican cheese
*Can also add in: salsa, corn, black beans, green onions, etc.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Brown beef and drain.  Pour enchilada sauce and tomato sauce {and extra ingredients if you have them} and mix together.  Cut biscuits into fourths and stir in.  Pour into a greased casserole dish {8x11}.  Bake for approx. 25 minutes, until biscuits are cooked through.  Sprinkle cheese on top and bake for an additional 10 minutes.  Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

*Recipe adapted from here.

Tulip Wreath

Supplies
{I found all of these at Hobby Lobby}
2 bunches of tulips {they have them in all different colors, I chose pink & red}
2 bunches green long leafy things {I have no idea what those are called!}
1 block green floral foam {to stick tulips in}
1 door cone

This one was super easy!  I just put the foam at the bottom of the cone and stuck in the tulips and leafy things.  I hung it on our front door with a suction cup and voila!  The original picture has it hanging by green ribbon, but I couldn't find any I liked at Hobby Lobby.  I may order some and put it on later.  We're ready for spring at our house!

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and stays safe from the storms!
